A dojo is a building in which some sort of Japanese martial arts training occurs.
The word do means way, road, or path. The word jo means place. Therefore, the place of the way is the Dojo.
The most important part of a dojo is the Sensei (Teacher/Instructor). A good sensei spends their time in the midst of the students correcting them, motivating them, fussing over their abilities, and coaching them to higher performance.
Holley Shihan has developed and certified the instructors you see here. They have the experience and enthusiasm to make your karate training enjoyable and rewarding.
The instructors at Cincinnati Shotokan Karate-Do, LLC understands that training must be done on a individual level within a group. Each student needs what they need, and each person has their own goals and abilities. These instructors will appreciate your goals, accept them, get the most out of the abilities you possess and while keeping the entire class on a topic, will tailor your training appropriately.
The Instructors you see here teach at Cincinnati Shotokan Karate-Do, LLC or Dojos affiliated with the International Budo Ryokukia. You are welcome to visit us at a location near you.
