Membership in KOJF is open to all types of traditional shotokan karate-do organizations. This includes commercial, educational and governmental entities. Members may be either for-profit or not-for-profit organizations. All members are expected to uphold the highest standards of training and conduct as expected by KOJF.
Here are the steps an organization needs to follow for applying for a membership:
Your application will be processed by Holley Sensei personally. Before your organization will be accepted as a full member in KOJF, a temporary membership may be granted, for up to 12 months.
During the temporary membership period, your organization must invite Holley Sensei and/or other KOJF officials to a seminar organized by one of your organization's DOJOs. The seminar request form can be downloaded here. This is required by KOJF, in order to fully evaluate the quality of the training/conduct in your organization.
For any other questions regarding membership in KOJF, feel free to email to the KOJF regional manager (karateofjapan@yahoo.com) or to Holley Sensei (cincinnatishotokan@yahoo.com)
